If you like change, you will like 2011 Prep Sports in Utah with all of the new region realignments. Say goodbye to six 5A teams as they depart to 4A. Welcome back Lehi to 5A. Winter weather….Spring Cancellations!

Over the eight years or so that The Prep Fan has been on the air, I have never seen a Spring so wet and with so much snow! Fortunately, over the past few weeks, several of the area baseball and softball teams have been able to get to warmer and drier climates to get a few games under their belt. As the Utes men’s and women’s teams visit LV for the last time this week, will the Ute faithful miss the experience? It is quite an experience… Next year as members of the PAC 12, March Madness will begin in So Cal under a different set of “bright lights”. “March Madness”, The Original Tourney Time is Special!

“March Madness” is a great time of year, especially for High School Hoops! The phrase “March Madness” was coined by a former administrator at the Illinois High School Activities Association, was later used by what we know as the NCAA tournament. Utah’s version is a combination of five girls championships and five boys championships in classes 1A – 5A. So far, there have been about half of the titles won. Congrats go to the following;
