“March Madness” is a great time of year, especially for High School Hoops! The phrase “March Madness” was coined by a former administrator at the Illinois High School Activities Association, was later used by what we know as the NCAA tournament. Utah’s version is a combination of five girls championships and five boys championships in classes 1A – 5A. So far, there have been about half of the titles won. Congrats go to the following;

5A Girls – Alta                      5A Boys – TBD

Utah HS Hoops has a very good reputation for putting together good, solid teams with strong fundamentals. Not the high flying, showtime version in some areas of the country, but for the most part, very good basketball. Get out and see a couple of games, regardless who you follow.

After all, it is “March Madness” in Utah. Maybe the Utah version could be “Jimmer Mania…”
